Experience the park with Klima und Kiez AG

We came together for an Erlebnis-Workshop in the park: a moment to pause, breathe, and reconnect with our bodies in urban nature.

Using the method of body mapping, a decolonial practice of alternative knowledge making, we traced how our bodies respond to different places in the park: Where do we feel calm? Where do we feel tension? What memories are held in these spaces?

After reflecting on our own experiences we reconciled to create a collective artwork: a large textile map, the body of the park, filled with drawings, textures, and traces of what we experienced together.

The nature grounding us beneath our feet.

The garbage that stirs disgust or frustration.

The paths where we feel (in)visible and observed.

The sounds of children playing, plain flying and cars passing by.

We hung the artwork in the park as a living piece, a shared reflection of our time together and how the park speaks through us.
